A team of Connect ACE (Ambassador for Community Engagement) 2015/16 cooperated with the "Po Leung Kuk Wan Lam May Yin Shirley Neighbourhood Elderly Centre" to organize this service project which aimed to improve the elderly's understanding of community resources and promote them a sense of worthiness through an interactive session. Volunteers accompanied the elderly to walk around the community such as shopping centers and facilities in the estate, it strengthened the awareness of the community for both the volunteers and the elderly.

Students shared about their experience here.

This is my third time joining SL Day. It is a unique experience every time. We can meet gorgeous people and listen to different stories. A very important point to note is that while you are serving people in need in the society, don’t forget your loved ones at home. Try to spend more time with them. Even just a phone call will make a difference.
