This project provides a rare opportunity for HKUST volunteers to visit the pediatric ward in the Tseung Kwan O Hospital to provide support services and care for the young patients. Volunteers played games with the children and had an enjoyable time together. They also helped the children regain a healthy and positive mindset while battling an illness.

It has been a really unforgettable experience visiting the pediatric ward of a hospital. Although it’s not my first time doing service with children as service targets, this is my first time visiting little patients, and I had a very wonderful afternoon spent with the two little kids! What I feel is that sometimes kids who are sick get happy even easier than those who are not, and they feel very satisfied and grateful for all the tiny little things we did for them. In the service, I think not only did we give the children happiness, but they in return also made me feel so relaxed and happy in the few hours.
