Connect Overseas Service Learning Grant

Students participating in service learning trips can learn about a place, its culture and its people through hands-on community-based service projects. Connect Overseas Service Learning Grant aims to support students to participate in service learning trips organized by HKUST Connect. Successful candidates will receive a subsidy covering part of the program fee by generous donations from:

  • Paul & Eileen Lin Grant (林達光先生夫人資助金)
  • Li Ka Shing Foundation Overseas Service Learning Grant
  • We are inviting students who are passionate in community engagement to apply for Connect Overseas Service Learning Grant. Additional consideration will be given to those with financial need. Please check out the details of the Endorsed Programs before making your application.

    Eligibility:
  • All undergraduate students. Students who have financial need or have successfully applied for Government Grant or Loan or University Financial Assistance will be given additional consideration. Students who do not receive any financial assistance will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Applicants have to go through the normal selection process of the overseas service learning trips, and be selected, to be eligible for the grant. (Please make separate application to the service learning trips that you want to participate.)

    • Submit the completed and signed application form to HKUST Connect office at Room 1001 (Lift 4).
    • Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview. Awardees will be selected based on their passion, level of engagementin in community service, and financial need.
