community outreach program

The Community Outreach Program (COP) has been organized by Petra Christian University (PCU) for over 20 years. COP is an interdisciplinary educational activity designed to provide students with a unique learning experience by immersing them in community living and addressing real-life social issues to contribute to community development.

Students from diverse countries in Asia and Europe including Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Netherlands will join hands to solve community problems. The program provides an excellent opportunity for students to mingle with people from all over the world. Over the intensive 3 weeks duration, students will engage in a variety of major and minor projects, allowing them to work and live alongside people from different backgrounds. This experience expands their cultural exposure and strengthens their communication skills.

If you are seeking to step out of your comfort zone and get in touch with the wider world, this is the golden chance for you. Explore the world through a social lens and contribute to various projects based on the needs of rural communities.
